All our UK delivery costs are included in our product prices, unless stated otherwise (e.g for furniture and large items). You will not have additional delivery charges added on at the checkout for the UK.
Our Makers are based in studios and workshops all around the UK and they will post your order to you directly.
Estimated delivery times are given with each product on each product page. Please check these carefully. These times are based on the method of postage used by our makers and whether the item needs to be made. Some items are held in stock and have a short delivery estimate, whilst some are made to order.
If you need something for a specific date, perhaps as a gift, just let us know by adding a note of the date with your order when you get to our basket/checkout. If you need something urgently and would like to request a speedier delivery service contact us and we'll do our best to help.
We all work very hard to meet the estimated delivery times quoted on our site and aim to be as quick as possible, especially if something is needed for a gift. Stock levels change regularly and sometimes we can be quicker than our quoted times! Public holidays (e.g Christmas, Easter weekend and Bank Holidays) delivery may take a little longer.
Our Makers use national courier services and Royal Mail. A signature is sometimes required on delivery. Some of our Makers choose to deliver their work in person.
Please note that if you choose to pay via PayPal, we will still follow the delivery times as set by our Makers on our website, and not any set by PayPal.
Some of our Makers are happy to ship overseas. You will find delivery information on each of our product pages. If international shipping is available for a product this will be stated on the product page and any shipping charges will be automatically added at the checkout depending on the international delivery address.

PLEASE NOTE: International deliveries may be subject to local imports and duties and may be affected by customs and excise delays beyond our control. Our delivery charges do not include any locally applied taxes, import duties and/or fees that may be levied by countries outside the UK. Please note that madebyhandonline and our Makers are not liable for any import duties and taxes that may be imposed. These are the full responsibility of the customer.
Delivery times can vary depending on the country, so we recommend you allow extra time when ordering from outside the UK. Our makers will do their best to despatch your orders as quickly as possible, but you may experience delays, especially if you're in the EU.
If your shipping address is outside of the UK and you’re interested in ordering something that does not have an international shipping option on the product page you won’t be able to proceed with a purchase, but if you contact us we'll happily make enquiries and see whether international delivery can be arranged for you.
Careful waste management is very important to our company and we use as much eco packaging as possible. Our tissue paper, postcards, flyers and labels are environmentally friendly and we encourage our Makers to recycle boxes and padded envelopes. We want you to be happy with the standard of packaging used and welcome any feedback.
Please ensure that your delivery address details are correct. We can't be held responsible for any delivery problems that may arise due to incorrect address details. A lot of couriers require a signature on delivery. If you indicate that a package can be left at your home or with a neighbour, this is at your own risk.
